We have seen, in New Zealand and internationally, how well-intentioned giving can fall short of its purpose. Donations meant to create real change are too often reduced by high administration costs, unverified projects with little direct benefit to people in need, and fundraising intermediaries that absorb a large share of the funds. In parts of the fundraising industry, it is not unusual for 80% or more of money raised to go to agencies rather than the charity or cause itself. We reject that model.

Cambio's mission is to put the power to change lives back in the hands of the individual donor. We exist to empower people to create change for good.

We are launching this platform so donors can make a direct, positive impact through quality-verified causes of their choosing — one project or many. You will receive personal updates on the difference your gift has made, and you will know exactly how your donation has been used.

As we launch this social enterprise, we ask for your support as we grow toward registered charity status and further reduce our already low operating costs. Our focus remains simple: empower donors to create direct impact with verified causes.

To do that, we must cover essential baseline costs: verification, hosting, transactions, marketing, and administration. As we grow into a long-term charitable technology enterprise, we intend to pass those efficiencies on to donors. Your support for that mission is valued.
