Privacy & Data Handling
How Change for Good protects your information
Our principle
We collect the minimum personal data needed to process your donation and show your impact. We never sell your data. Project creators are verified by our staff before publishing.
What we store
- Account: your name and email, used to log you in and attribute your donations.
- Donations: the amount, project, optional message, and recurring settings. Card details are handled exclusively by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.
- Projects: details you publish as a project manager are public. Your email is visible only to platform administrators.
Who can see your donations
Your donation records are only visible to you, the project owner, and platform administrators. On public project pages you can choose to donate anonymously — your name will be hidden from other visitors. Aggregate funding totals are public, but individual donor details are not exposed to anonymous visitors.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe over an encrypted connection. Change for Good does not store card numbers or CVV. See Stripe's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment data.
Contact
For privacy or data requests, contact Change for Good support. For security vulnerability reports, see our /.well-known/security.txt.
